The state government of Telangana started the welfare program for the women of the state who belong to the economically weaker section of society. The name of this program is the Mahalakshmi Scheme Telangana. Under this scheme, the state government of Telangana is going to provide financial support of RS.2,500 per month, free public transport by giving them a Mahalakshmi Smart Card and a subsidised Cooking Gas cylinder at the cost of 500 rupees.

Eligibility Criteria For Women
- All the women who reside in the state of Telangana permanently are eligible under this scheme.
- The annual income of the family of the women can be below 2 lakh rupees.
- Women belonging to the BPL and Antyodaya Category are eligible for the scheme benefits.
- But for Free Bus Travel, there is no eligibility Criteria set by the government all women, girls and transgender with showing their valid Aadhaar card can avail the benefits of free Travel.

- First of all, after checking the eligibility Criteria of the scheme, you need to visit the local Gram Panchayat Office, Gram Sabha or Municipal Corporation office and collect the Mahalakshmi Scheme Application Form.
- Have to fill this application form manually with the necessary details.
