To provide safe and quality housing to the people of the state, Tamil Nadu, during its first budget session 2026-27, introduced the new scheme, i.e., the MY HOME Scheme. The complete Name of the MY HOME Scheme is Metropolitan Youth and Family Housing Scheme. By rolling out this scheme, the State Government of Tamil Nadu is going to built the one lakhs Houses in coming 7 years. All the low-income group families of the state and Young people are the main beneficiaries who are a priority of the state government. The announcement of this Housing scheme was made by the Finance Minister, Marie Wilson, by releasing the white paper.

Tamil Nadu My Home Scheme
This Housing scheme is going to be implemented by the Government Department of the state, i.e. Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board. In this scheme, the same board is going to develop one lakh houses in the coming 7 years. The total investment which is required for this scheme is about Rs.15,000 Crore.
