As per the recent update the government of the Tamil Nadu with the Directorate of Collegiate Education invites the application form from the students who wants to pursue their higher education in abroad. So that every one can use the benefits of this Overseas Education Loan of the scheme. By applying in this scheme, you will get the financial support for your higher education abroad of Rs.15 Lakhs Maximum.

The official authority who implement this scheme in all over the state is TABCEDCO i.e. Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Economic Development Corporation. All that students of the Tamil Nadu state who belongs to the Backward/ Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities of the state.

Motive of the TN Students Overseas Education Loan Scheme

There are so many students who having the same dream but due to financial crises they are unable to full their dream. So that’s why government support them as backbone of the students. To support them for their higher education in the abroad government provide the fund in shape of Overseas education loan to reduced the financial burden for the international studies of the students.

Features of the scheme

• Beneficiary Cover: In this scheme, the government added the beneficiaries students who belongs to the BC, MBC and DNC Category of the state and wants to pursue their higher education in Abroad.
• Number of Beneficiaries Added: Total 100 students from the same communities will be get benefits of the scheme.
• Financial Coverage: all that students who get the admission for their higher education programmes in the Abroad will going to get the education loan of Rs.15 Lakhs to each 100 students.
• Portal To Apply: Now to get all the benefits from the scheme, every students need to check their eligibility and then apply through TABCEDCO portal.
• Loan Interest: Over this loan the interest must be 7 to 8% per year.
• Expenses Cover in Scheme: In this scheme they cover the accommodation, your tuition fee of college, Living expenses and travel expenses with education related things.

Eligibility Criteria For overseas Education Loan

• This scheme is run by the Tamil Nadu Government for the permanent citizen of the state.
• All the BC, MBC and DNC category students whose family annual income is not more than Rs.3 Lakhs are eligible.
• The age of the applying students for higher education is must be 18 years to 60 years at the time of apply.
• Applicant having the confirmation of getting admission in recognized instate for higher education.
• From each family of the State, only one family member will get the permission for this loan scheme.

Required Documents

• Domicile certificate of the Tamil Nadu state.
• Your Community or Category certificate like BC, MBC and DNC.
• The income certificate of the family showing annual income.
• Your educational record with all degree certificate showing marks also.
• ID proof like Passport details, Aadhar Card.
• The most important documents of proof of admission confirmed in the foreign authorized university.

How to get the Tamil Nadu Overseas Education Loan Scheme?

Every eligible students can apply for this scheme using both the mode i.e. online either through offline. Both the process are easy. But we recommended every students to choose the online method of application process. Here below we guide you by providing the step wise step details online and offline too.

First Option – Online Application Process

• It is compulsory for all the students to complete their first time registration to create the profile.
• When you create your profile, then you get the credential details for Login in your Registered profile.
• So Login in the profile and then select the Scheme Name i.e.  Overseas Education Loan scheme.
• Here you see that the complete application form open here and fill all the compulsory details in the same according to your documents.
• Before filling the form, you can scan all the documents and then when you complete the form before submitting it, remember to upload all the documents with the form.
• Now submit online your form.

Second Option – Offline Process

• Application form in pdf format also available on the concerned authority official portal. Download the form and then take the printout of the form.
• Now after printout, you have to fill this form with your handwriting manually.
• Attached the photocopies of the documents with this form.
• Now you can send this form along with documents by post or you can submit the same directly by visiting the form.

Selection of Students for this Scheme

• The selection of the students can be made after getting the application form either online or offline.
• Then the official agent will verify the application and documents, and also verify the name of the university that you submitted.
• The application is also submitted for screening to get loan approval.
• When your application form is clear, the education loan fund will be approved by the government.
