To provide the support to all the Handloom Weavers of the state who work traditional, Government of the Andhra Pradesh launched the scheme with the name of AP ‘Nethanna Bharosa’ scheme. In this scheme, the government provides the financial support per year. Annually, all eligible artisans in the state of Andhra Pradesh receive financial support and additional benefits from the government. Financial support of Rs. 25,000 will be given to them once a year, and along with this, 200 electricity units will be provided to them per month, with a 5% GST refund on the Handloom product.

AP Nethanna Bharosa Scheme Latest Announcement 2026
On 6th July 2026, Andhra Pradesh celebrated APCO’s golden jubilee, and on the same occasion, the government cleared 6.50 Crore pending dues for APCO. As per the announcement made by the Minister, this time the government has completed all the groundwork for this scheme. They said that the Government will provide the 4 Crore rupees for the due of blankets and other supplies made in the Hostels, going to be released on 15th July 2026, and 2.5 Crore rupees will also be released in the First week of August for handloom products.
Motive of Scheme
The government has a very good motive in mind while implementing this scheme in favour of the EWS Artisans of the state, because sometimes they are unable to generate enough income for themselves. So now the government at this time wants to make them financially independent and upgrade their work by providing them Rs.25,000 as an annual grant to provide them a stable income. After getting this financial support, they can easily focus on their work and enhance their income by taking forward their traditional handloom products.
Features of the Nethanna Bharosa Scheme
- Annual Grant: All the eligible Artisans, after verification fit for this scheme, will receive the annual grant of Rs.25,000 for a stable income. By getting this amount, they can also use this amount for their business purposes and no longer need to get debt from private financial institutions.
- Free Electricity Unit: Apart from financial support, all the eligible workers also get the benefits of 200 free electricity units free of Cost per month. The Power Loom unit will get 500 Free electricity units.
- 5% GST Exemption: There is one more benefit added to this scheme is that government provide the 5% GST over every handloom product.
Eligibility Criteria
The government provides the benefits of the scheme only to the selected people of the state.
- All families who work as traditional handloom weavers professionally in the state of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to receive the benefits of this scheme.
- The weavers and their families need to be registered with the APCO ( Andhra Pradesh State Handloom Weaver Cooperative Society).
