There are new instruction has been given by the CM of Tamil Nadu state for Ahead Northeast Monsoon. As they started the online registration with Greater Chennai Corporation for volunteers. The registration can be completed through their upgraded Namma Chennai Mobile App. You can also complete the registration through the official website of GCC.

All the residents of the state, NGOs, corporates, associates, and organisations are invited to complete the registration as volunteers and support the Chennai Monsoon Relief and emergency response activities. At the time of registration, all volunteer will need to choose the area of their choice and expertise and preferred zone. But apart from that, if you want to work across the city, then in the registration form you can select the option, i.e. Any Area in Chennai.

• All registered volunteer with the direct collaboration with the Government of Tamil Nadu and also with Greater Chennai Corporation during emergencies.
• Your deployment will be given according to your area of interest and expertise, which you fill in the profile.
• After participating as a volunteer with the government, you get participation certificate from the government and also get to work with other communities.
• You may also get a monthly stipend of Rs.10,000, which depends on program criteria.

GCC Volunteer Registration Through Namma Chennai App

• First of all, you have to download the Namma Chennai Upgraded Mobile Application from the App Store.
• After downloading the App, install the app on your device and then create an account.
• Now, use your Personal details like Name, Mobile Number, email ID, Address, and PIN Code.
• Create the account and then Login using One Time Password( OTP).
• When you successfully Login the account, you have to click on Volunteer Registration.
• After clicking on Registration, choose your Registration role like: Individual, Corporate, NGO or Association.
• Start uploading the documents like your ID proof and contact number.
• If you have any kind of experience of a previous monsoon disaster, then choose the same from the list.
• You can choose the area of your choice according to your experience and expertise, or if you are willing to work across the city, then you can select any area in Chennai.
• Verify the complete details and then preview your registration form.
• Then finally submit the form.
