To empower women and increase productivity in the Self Help Groups, which are led by women, the government announced the Singa Pengal Empowerment Scheme. By announcing this scheme, the new state TVK Government enhances the already existing facilities of loans. The loan will be given as an interest-free loan, and the financial assistance is up to Rs 5 Lakhs. All the SHGs that are registered in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will get financial assistance of Rs. 5 Lakhs as an annual grant by the government in this scheme. The financial help is given at a 100% subsidy. It will help all the self-help group women with their business growth and enhancement.
Very soon, the scheme is going to be implemented in the state by the new government. This time, the government is preparing for the official notification of this scheme.

Objective of the Singa Pengal Empowerment Scheme

To avail the benefits of all the welfare schemes of Tamil Nadu, the following documents are usually required. To date, the official notification of the Singa Pengal Empowerment Scheme has not been released by the government.
- Any of the identity cards of the beneficiary women, like a photocopy of the Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, and PAN Card, etc.
