WE all know that if we find any of the family members get any kind of diseases which having very high medical expenses, then we get so much financial burden. So to make them feel free of medical expenses, the Telangana government rolled out the New Employees Health Scheme for the government employees, government pensioners, and their Family Members. The total beneficiaries which cover in this scheme are 17.88 Lakhs in number.
The official announcement to implement this scheme across the state was made on 17th July 2026. And with the announcement, the government added the 1,816 surgical and medical packages at the same time. This is the Telangana New Cashless Health Service Scheme, which is going to provide its services in 114 Government hospitals of the state and 886 in Privates Impaneled Hospitals available across the Telangana state.

This scheme is introduced and then officially launched by the Deputy CM of the state along with Health Minister. This scheme is now become more attractive as many of the new changes has been done by the government. This is the health Care scheme in which the state government will provide cashless medical treatment to all the government employee, pensioners and their family members. By launching this scheme, the government ensure to provide high-quality health treatment to the beneficiaries with the help of government and private hospitals.

Features of NEHS
- Scheme Coverage: This scheme covers a total 1,816 medical Packages along with surgical Packages.
- Funding of the Scheme: In this scheme both state government and the beneficiaries like Employee and beneficiaries have to pay jointly for fund.
- Official Portal: NEHS Official dedicated portal also launched i.e. nehs.telangana.gov.in, on which different services are available for beneficiaries.
- Health Card: By accessing the official portal, every beneficiaries easily able to download the Digital Health card from the same portal.
- Concerned Officials: This scheme is managed by the Employee Health Care Trust of the state for all kind of insurance claims and settlement of insurance etc.

Who Can Apply?
So if we are talking about Primary Beneficiaries, then it is be:-
- Government serving employee who are regular.
- Pensioner means a government employee who are now an ex-employee.
Family members who can avail the benefits of the scheme are:-
- Legal Husband or wife
- Parent of the beneficiaries who totally dependent
- Son who and daughter who are under 25 years.
- Disabled Children of the beneficiaries with no age restriction

How to Login & Register For Telangana New Employees Health Scheme?
First Step: Login Step
- Visit to Portal: Every eligible beneficiary needs to Access the NEHS Official Website.
- Select Category: After arriving on portal choose your category like Pensioner or Employee
- Login: By entering your Employee ID or Pension ID with Password, make login in to your account with OTP, which is received By you in your Registered Mobile Number.
2nd Step: Get Application
- Check Dashboard: When you login in to your account, the Dashboard appears in front of you.
- Click to Registration: After it, you need to find the Registration link and then click.
- Select Link: Have to click on Initiate Health Card or View application.
- Enter Details: Now you have to fill your Aadhar Card Number and then system will verify your identity details.
3rd Step: Enter Details and Upload Documents
- Fill in Personal details: Every column should be mandatory to fill with the personal details and with your official details.
- Upload Documents: Kindly get ready with the documents and then upload with the form.
4th Step: Add Family Members Details
- Kindly upload the details of the new beneficiaries or initiate new beneficiaries; the link is available in the Registration section.
- You also need to upload their Aadhaar card and supporting documents.
- Review all the details and then submit.
5th Step: Approval
- After the final submission of the application form your Health card enrollment ID will be generate.
- You also get confirmation of your submission of form through SMS. And then if your profile is approved, then you will be eligible to receive the benefits of the scheme.
Steps For Telangana New Employees Digital Health Card
- If your registered profile get approval from STO or DDO, then you again have to come back on the NEHS Portal.
- Then Login in to your account with your credentials.
- Go to the Quick Action links and then click on Download Health Card.
- You can save this card digitally and also take a printout of the same.
