TVK Party successfully made their government in the state of Tamil Nadu, and Vijay C Joseph was elected as the new Chief Minister of the state. So now, at the time of the assembly election, he made several promises to women for welfare schemes. Now one of them, the most awaited promise for which women are waiting to be fulfilled by the government, is to provide them Financial assistance of Rs 2500 per month. The official Name of this scheme is Madhippumigu Magalir Thittam.

In this scheme, the women who are the heads of families in Tamil Nadu state and having age upto 60 years of age will get this monthly support directly into their accounts by the government. When the government officially roll out this scheme in the state, then the registration process also started by the government through its dedicated portal or government portal.

Objective of Vijay 2500 Scheme

The main objective of launching this scheme is to provide financial protection to the eligible families who really deserve the same help from the government. The amount can be used by the women for her family, like for basic needs, education of their kids and healthcare. This scheme also adds additional fixed income to the family’s other income.

Difference Between Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam and Madhippumigu Magalir Thittam

As we already told you, the Madhippumigu Magalir Thittam replaces the old running scheme, i.e., the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme. The both scheme are same like providing the financial support to the women heads of families in the state. But with the replacement of the old scheme, the amount has also been enhanced by the government with new terms and conditions of the scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for women

• Only the permanent residents of Tamil Nadu state are eligible for the scheme.
• The applicant can be the woman head of the family.
• The age group targeted under this scheme is up to 60 years.
• Women can belong to the Economically Weaker Section.
• You are not a government employee or pensioner of the state and Central Government.

NOTE: Kindly wait for the official notification in which proper annual income or age criteria are mentioned.

• So at present, the government has launched its new welfare schemes one by one. The framework of this Madhippumigu Magalir Thittam scheme is still pending.
