Tamil Nadu 3 Free Cylinder Scheme: How to Get the Benefit?

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr C Joseph Vijay, made the big announcement in favour of the household families of the State. With this New welfare program, he announced to provide 3 free LPG Cylinders to the women heads of families in the state. The official Name of this scheme is Annapoorani Super 6 Scheme.  So, in the starting government is going to provide 3 free gas cooking cylinders to the women of the state.

This scheme is officially going to be started from the Pongal Festival, which is held in January 2027. After the implementation of this scheme in the state, government required the budget of Rs.4,000 Crore. The benefits of the scheme are given via the Direct Benefits Transfer Mode, which means the Cost of the 3 Free Cylinder is given through DBT Mode to the women heads of the families. Tamil Nadu 3 Free Cylinder Scheme

During the time of the election, the TVK Head, who is now the CM of Tamil Nadu state, made the promise to the women of the state to provide them a total of 6 LPG cylinders every year. And Government going to fulfil all the promises one by one. So now he announced his most awaited scheme titled Annapoorani Super 6 Scheme in the state.

This scheme starts providing its benefits to every household in the state from Pongal Day Festival, i.e. January. A total of 1.30 Crore Women head families are going to get the benefits of this scheme. The benefits are distributed through the DBT Mode of payment. This means from January, the Government provide the Cost of the 3 gas cooking cylinders in the account of the women head families.

The Price of each of the Cooking Gas LPG Cylinder is reimbursed to the female head of the families directly by crediting the same in her linked bank account with the Gas Booking Copy. She receives the amount at the time of booking and delivery. The cost of the cylinder is based on the official Billing of the companies.

Objective of Three Free Cylinder Scheme

Every know that the price of the Cooking Gas increase day by day, and it will give a financial burden on the families of the state. So to provide them relief from the financial burden, this Annapoorani Super 6 Scheme is now going to be launched very soon. By launching this scheme, the government has now decided to provide them some financial aid for the total 6 cooking gas cylinders spent by them.

It will reduce their financial burden of the amount spent by the families for the Gas Cylinder and provide them financial protection.

Features of the scheme

Date of Launch	This scheme is going to be launched officially across the state from Pongal Festival, i.e. January 2027

Eligibility Criteria

• Every Individual Women Head Household Families of the state of Tamil Nadu.
• The annual income of the families is not more than Rs.2.5 Lakhs.
• The economically weaker section families
• Small and Marginal Farmers’ Families
• Physically Disabled families of the state are eligible to get the benefits of this scheme.

Documents Required

• Aadhaar Card of the Woman Head of the Family.
• Copy of the ration card of Tamil Nadu to verify the registered residents of Tamil Nadu state.
• LPG Gas cooking Connection Passbook, in which your consumer ID and connection details are added.
• Also need to submit the Bank passbook Copy to get the DBT Cash reimbursement. This copy is also linked with the Gas connection passbook and with Aadhaar Card.
• Family Annual income certificate showing total income from all sources.
• Disability certificate of the person if required.

How to Get the Benefit of 3 Free Cylinder Scheme?

• First of all, the government is going to compile the list of eligible families of the state who are using the Smart Ration Card and are also linked with their active LPG Gas Connection.
• If your Ration Card and LPG Gas connection are linked, then you are automatically registered in this scheme.
• But if by chance you are not, then you must have to make register or update your details by visiting the Local Fair Price Shop; registrations are going to start from January 27.
• After registration, after Pongal Day, you have to book your LGD Cylinder from your Distributor through SMS, call, or App.
• Then, on the delivery of the gas, you need to pay the Full price of the Gas to the delivery agent.
• After getting the delivery of the Gas Cylinder, the company will issue you an invoice or Bill. The same bill is also going to be shared with the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Department automatically, and then it will confirm that you use one of the cylinders from your 3 free slots.
• Within some days of the delivery of the Gas, 100% of the Cylinder price is paid to the applicant through the DBT Mode in the Aadhaar-linked bank account.
