Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme: Sewing Machine Registration in Telangana starts on 15th August

Backward community women get the benefit of a free sewing machine under the Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme. This scheme was started on 15th August, and the last date to apply for this scheme is 15th September. Each machine value is Rs 12,000 with 100% subsidy to the beneficiaries. This scheme will empower backward community women. The scheme is introduced by BC Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Under this scheme, 1.19 lakh automatic sewing machines will be distributed in the 119 assembly constituencies in the 1st phase. Approximately 1000 machines will be distributed in each constituency.

Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme

On August 13th, the government announced its Indiramma Kuttu Machine Scheme, which is also known as the Indiramma Sewing Machines Distribution Scheme. In this scheme, the government provided sewing machines to women who belong to the Backward Classes or Minority Groups of the state. The main motive for providing these sewing machines to these women is to make the women economically strong.

Objective of Scheme

Women Who Can Apply?

  • The applicant must be a woman and permanently residing in the state of Telangana.
  • The primary eligibility is that women must belong to the BC Communities of the state.
  • Applicant women must be unemployed and have an interest in tailoring.
  • The annual income of the BC Category women in rural areas is 1.5 Lakhs, and in urban areas it is 2 Lakhs maximum.
  • In each of the family, only one woman will be eligible to get the Machine.

In this scheme, priority will also be given to women according to their different categories like:-

  2. Single women of the state
  3. Orphaned women
  4. Homeless
  5. Physically Disabled women
  6. Who have experience in tailoring

How is the Selection of Women Made?

Government follow very strict process and transparency system to select the eligible women to get the sewing machines. There are also some other guidelines issued by the government for the selection of the women. After getting selected in the scheme, all the selected beneficiaries will have to undergo training to operate such machines.

  • First have to enter the Personal details of the woman, like Name as per Aadhaar Card Record, Number of adhar, ration card number, area like Rural and Urban, father’s name, Income certificate details, Date of birth with annual income.
  • Then put the details about your Gender, marital status, Category, Contact Number, Caste certificate, tailoring training centre, and lastly enter your qualification details.
  • Fill in the Permanent address details.
  • Now attach the documents and then accept the self-declaration and preview your application form.
