To provide concrete Houses to the Sanitation Workers of the State of Tamil Nadu, the government launched the new housing scheme for them. The same scheme is introduced with the name of Tamil Nadu Agam Housing Scheme 2026. Under this scheme in all across the state of Tamil Nadu, the government is going to construct total 2,500 Concrete Houses for them. So that the living standard of the workers also increases and they can live in a safe environment with their families.

Tamil Nadu Agam Housing Scheme

On 27th August 2026, Telangana State Government launched its new housing scheme for the Sanitation or Cleanliness workers of the state with the name of Agam Housing Scheme. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide them permanent Concrete Houses. So any sanitation worker or cleanliness worker works near you and also need of Pucca house, then you must make awareness about this scheme.

Objective of Agam Housing Scheme

Features of Housing Scheme For Sanitation Workers of Tamil Nadu

Beneficiaries Covered	In this scheme, the government cover the frontline cleanliness and sanitation workers of the state of Tamil Nadu who don’t have any kind of permanent house in the state

Eligibility Rules

Residency	Applicant must have permanent residency in Tamil Nadu state.
Occupation	Applicant must be working as a sanitation worker, Cleanliness worker, Sweeper, Drainage Cleaner and frontline sanitation staff of public health.
Housing Status	Only those people get the housing facilities under this scheme who don’t have any pucca house for them.

Employment Certificate	ID Card of your work, service record or Contract certificate
Income proof	Also need to submit your income certificate

Tamil Nadu Agam Housing Scheme for Sanitation Workers Application Process

Yet, the government don’t make any announcement about applying online or offline for the Agam housing scheme in the state. Till date, this is just an announcement, and the government is at present finalising its framework, income criteria and selection process of the beneficiaries. But when the government start accepting the application form, then below are the expected steps.

• First of all, you have to download the Agam Housing Scheme official notification from the official portal or through the news agency.
• Then, according to the official notification, you have to check the eligibility Criteria and then prepare the documents in the name of the applicant.
• Then have to collect the application form and fill the same through online or offline as per the notification.
• Also submit the documents with the form and then submit.

Verification and Selection

• After obtaining the application form with documents from the applicant, the field officers of the concerned department conduct the site visit and complete the verification of the applicant’s homelessness.
• Then, after completing the verification, only approved beneficiaries will be able to get the 2,500 Pucca Houses in their name. If the selected beneficiaries are more than the number of houses, then, to maintain transparency, they conduct a draw.
